Listening on Spotify- holds up better than I would've expected! Obviously I have a soft spot for emo/indie strands, but still- I can't believe how many of these chorus melodies I'd attributed to Cursive over the years! All those Omaha boys really did run together!

Their first album was great at the time because Conor hadn't done any electric work since Comm Venus. I wonder what it would be like now, since my conviction that the man who made Fevers and Mirrors is the great artist of our time has wavered considerably.

Agreed completely. You never know until you get the record and give it a few spins. I was cold on the latest single when I streamed it originally (A side was too busy, the b-side sounded like an Avey Tare solo outtake) but the mix on the vinyl is 1000x better, and the songs have grown on me.
