This seems to be an unnecessarily cranky review. The American Masters series often relies on oft-tread anecdotes about its subjects, because its intended to be an entertaining puff piece. I knew most of the stuff covered already too, but still found it a lot of fun.

I'd say that seven episodes is more than enough.

So, years of drug use taking a toll, or some sort of organic mental disorder?

Wow, now they're a band that no one will enjoy!

How fast the public turns on a celebrity will never stop being fascinating to me. Honestly, there's a lot worse shit this kid could be doing, other than being irritating.

As a parent, I can safely say that no one has anything new to say about parenting at this point.

Boiiiiiiiing!

Oh, Kevin Kline. Why. Why.

Gosh, I love him.

Yeah, that sounds terrible.

Do I want to know what "The Goldbergs" is? I probably don't.

Alaska? Alaska?

Undoubtedly.

Someone should establish a Kickstarter to buy Billy Crystal a new hairpiece. He's been rocking that look since the late 80s.

And let’s get thisout of the way: Michael Ian Black and Kerri Kenney-Silver can credibly pass as Alexis Bledel’s parents
Um…maybe if they were 10 when they became parents. Or if Bledel is playing a character half her age, which is 30, I believe.
