True, I thought the third movie tied up the series perfectly. Though I'll see this one when it comes; I love the Bourne movies.

"Hey, we're walking down a steep grade!"

Hey, I learned a little something about courage from playing D&D!

"Penises" and "shredded" are in uncomfortable proximity in your post. I know that, by the laws of grammar, there is no connection between them, but still…I can't help but cringe…

But the boobs contain potassium benzoate!

Fatigue…corrected!

My cassette had a foldout…it had a lot of panels, and the last few had the fold perforated. Damn thing fell apart I read it so much…bought the disc when that happened, and eyestrain was much reduced…

"I wanna be more like the ocean/no talkin', man, all action" was my email sig until a very short time ago. I think that's a fucking profound line, as rock lyrics go.

I read an interview with him in Goldmine (I think) when the Deconstruction album came out. He talked about helping Perry with some lyrics…not sure if it was some kind of dis as I understand his departure was not amicable, but he never struck me (in interviews) to be that kind of a guy, so I took that at face value.

I must also say that while Strays was an awful album, The Great Escape Artist is actually a decent one. It took a while for me to warm to it, but I don't think it's bad at all. Not as primal as the earlier material, but there are some interesting lyrics and textures to be found.

And that primal scream that brings in the final chords…gah, I'm putting Nothing's Shocking on right now.

I like the cut of your jib.

God, that was another band that signalled the end of the good part of the "alternative era."

I go back and forth. Ritual has all those epics on the second half, and "Obvious" is one of my favorite songs. And it has this kind of weird, alien production, somehow both dry and atmospheric at the same time. Dave Jerden is underappreciated as a producer, imo.

I still play the album at least once a month.

My best friend and I skipped out of study hall to pick up the Porno For Pyros album the day it came out. We were really disappointed in it…I should give it a chance again, but the material never captured me the way JA did.

La la…la la…la la…la la…

Unabashedly love this album (and Nothing's Shocking, and the live XXX album, and live bootlegs, and…). Jane's were a bridge from the guitar hero LA bands to "alternative rock"…great playing, great lyrics…and real dynamics, not just the soft-LOUD-soft-LOUD bludgeon that characterizes so much '90s rock, but every shade

A Wesson feud? I've seen videos like that. Kinky.
