Trigger warning!

Peter and Fudge got a myna bird in Superfudge.

All bitch slap rappin' and cocaine tongues….

He looks like he's pissed that he didn't get the gig being the Mac on those old Apple commercials.

You're right about Davis…I had him confused with someone else, apparently.

I think BoG is mediocre, in terms of Jimi's performance (I have bootlegs featuring much better versions of all the material). But it's still a decent listen.

Fuck yeah. Nothing beats that version of Whipping Post. Except maybe another version of Whipping Post.

Yep. Music critics should know something about music and the music business if they want to write about it.

Words schmerds. It sounds like you know what you're talking about when you say it, kinda, so who cares?

Amen. And "Them Changes" is a piece of shit song.

Wasn't Dennis Davis (Bowie's drummer in the '70s thru Scary Monsters) a fat dude? He was incredible.

Agreed. I think Buddy Miles was exactly the wrong kind of drummer for Hendrix. Mitchell had jazz chops and a willingness to play and lock horns with Jimi's guitar, whereas Miles just played a very stiff backbeat.

Cry of Love and some of the other posthumous stuff is great, too, with really interesting polyrhythms and compositional choices. And it's FUNKY. "Freedom" is an incredible song.

1983 isn't a song, it's a god-damned composition. Fucking epic. Even those simple little noodlings that introduce the thing are awesome.

I actually like Concrete Blonde's version…

Sharing a reasonable opinion on the internet? That's a paddlin'….

Really, who gives a feck?

You might say it makes him feel…gigantic.

People really go nuts over crappy shakes and hot dogs, huh?
