Those are ribbons of SHAME!
Those are ribbons of SHAME!
But he's SO hateable!
- What about the Van Wyck?
Shhh. That's a favorite show here.
"NPR Face" sounds like a good insult.
…and they were like, "DP? It isn't THAT kind of film!"
Can't it be two things?
Maybe it would've been better if the writers did it like one of those creative writing exercises: first guy writes 2.45 minutes, then passes it to the next guy, who can't look at what's already written but just writes another 2.45 minutes of script, then passes it to the next guy…
That was my reaction, as well. Larson seemed way more interested in the World's Fair story, and included the Mudget/Holmes stuff to sell it. Granted, there aren't as many resources available to reconstruct Holmes's activities with the same fidelity as the Fair, but it still felt half-assed.
It should be done with every show. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I just don't get hate watching. I'd rather spend my time doing something productive or that I enjoy doing.
I don't. My friends exist in real life. I just think it's funny to imagine you not even having virtual ones.
I have a bad habit of editing my posts sometimes because I think of that "one more thing" ten minutes later…I can be like George and the jerk store sometimes… :-)
Nah, most of the commenters here are cool. Or at least avoid the condescension and smugness.
Oh, man, my standards for television are low. That hurts. Jesus, what will I do with my life? Sometimes I just wanna be entertained. And some people who aren't engaged in academic discourse over a television show might want to concentrate on the positive aspects of what they're watching because of that.
Comparison of two works to show a perceived similarity of intent, aesthetic effect, etc. doesn't imply both those things are of equal quality.
In real life, a high-ranking police official WOULD legalize drugs in their district, right?
Who said "brilliant?" Is it possible to have enjoyed the season while realizing it's not a masterpiece? Is it possible to have an identity not bound up with what you watch on a screen while you're being a lazy lump on the couch?
You don't even have _internet_ buddies, do you? What a lonely, lonely life you must lead.
I'm 39, if it means anything, and pretty damn well-read, if I do say so.
Column B on the surface, column A thematically.
