I tend to think there's more to it - that Clara knew the significance of that word somehow. If this is a case of a character splintered through time, with one consciousness, it could make sense that she knows more about the Doctor than she let on, and knows that the word "Pond" will bring him running.

Yeah, they actually worked pretty hard to keep her appearance in Asylum of the Daleks a secret. There's a long-term plan here. Whether it will make sense is anyone's guess, though.

Nor me. Dinosaurs on a Spaceship was my favorite episode the show aired in 2012. Considering it's a Chris Chibnall Spectacular, that's impressive.

While The Yellow Shark is great, Zappa's true final album is his two-hour electronic masterpiece Civilization Phaze III. He worked on it for something like 10 years, and finished it days before his death. It's his last testament, a complex and fatalistic piece of work that also manages to be really funny.

If you're picking long Zappa songs, I have to go with The Adventures of Greggery Peccary. Unfailingly interersting over 20 minutes.

I am not S. Earl, but I will say the Paul Jenkins run (between Ennis and Ellis) is one of my favorites. Definitely worth tracking down, particularly as the DC powers that be seem resistant to collecting it in trades. Jenkins' run is subtler, I think, and builds slowly, but taken as a whole, it's fantastic. Plus, Sean

Yeah, you're right. But I've read several reviews (including this one) that make it sound like these guys have just taken a decade off from music. I'm by no means disappointed in Allelujah, but it makes more sense as a somewhat tentative reunion record after 10 years of other projects than it does as a comeback album.

People keep going on and on about this being Godspeed's first album in 10 years, but it's not like the members of the band have been sitting around doing nothing. Three of them are in A Silver Mt. Zion, and they've made six records since Godspeed split up. Mike Moya's had two other bands since leaving Godspeed, and

If anyone out there has read Robert Kirkman's short-lived series, how great would an Incorrigible Ant-Man movie be? Pretty damn great, that's how great.

Yep. Although The Three Doctors also has a slow-motion wrestling sequence, with a guy in a monster suit.

My favorite line in this one is from Dr. Tyler, after he makes his pointless attempt at escape: "Well, that was a bit of a waste of time." Doctor Who was meta even then.
