I loved this episode, Bert Macklin, Jean Ralphio, Pawnee town meeting, this had pretty much everything I love about Parks in it.  Curious to know what everyone thinks about a possible baby Swanson.

Honey, stop wagging your finger

Indeed, there is no such thing as ugly Annie.  Also, her flying through that window was pretty ridiculous and hilarious.

I'm with you, I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.  I loved seeing the origin of Magnitude's "pop pop", crazed pill-popping Annie, and Britta more like she was at the beginning of the show.  I'm surprised, I thought more people would have enjoyed it.  Troy once again made the show for me, he went from being one of my

I thought of George Carlin when I read what @avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus said above.  My Con Law I professor made us watch his Seven words you can't say on t.v. bit before we read the case where a radio station broadcast of this during the daytime led to a lawsuit that made certain words off limits

Maybe they're due for a good vigorous debate and a fight, but I don't agree about a falling out.  I have friends who have the complete opposite political opinions as I do, and even if we argue about things it often goes very much like Ron and Leslie arguing over things.  No one loses their cool and stops being friends

I think you said it perfectly about season 5 of The Office, @avclub-d542a3419c3ad57206a96bcc86155ebc:disqus .  I enjoyed the first part of it, though I recognized it was fading in quality.  Then it started to get worse and eventually fell off the cliff right around Mafia.  I think Parks is staying more steady than The

Any episode that gets the weirdos of Pawnee in a public forum has the makings of good comedy.  I loved the lists of different time capsules and lost it when I paused it and read some of the ridiculous things they included.  You are not alone, my friend.

I liked Brandanowitz also, I think he had some really funny moments and was a very good but different balance to Leslie than Ron is.  Mark actually did want to help Leslie get things done, but was a realist and a voice of reason whereas Ron mostly points out the flaws in Leslie's optimism.

@avclub-6f2918fcd0f193a9e0dcc0337775b148:disqus I agree about this episode being kind of unique to Parks; it is a small town government issue that is, like most small town government issues, not really a big deal but it becomes high stakes to those involved.  So much of what local governments do is mundane and pretty

And let's not forget Mayor Gunderson's dog Rufus

Limitless paper, in a paperless world

Also, what would she spend her money on?  She is an accountant, so she should be decent with money, she has no vices, and wears clothing made for large colonial dolls.

I think the entire office has earned the right to gouge out Dwight or Angela's eyes.  He almost killed Stanley during his fake fire drill, humiliated Phyllis during weight loss, gave Meredith rabies, and has been pretty much a remorseless ass since season 5.

I'm totally with you on the Andy crap, that was awful and my finger was literally on the ff button.  I managed to hold off, but barely.  I cringe every time Angela and Dwight are on camera anymore, they are both so awful they deserve each other.

@avclub-20064196f51f8b39c365b69a2591e02e:disqus You are correct, Angela had Dwight feed Sprinkles (thank you for asking, nobody asks about Sprinkles) and he stuck the cat in the freezer where it tried to claw its way out.  That was about the point Dwight started to become totally beyond redemption for me as a

@avclub-ce6c92303f38d297e263c7180f03d402:disqus That was my favorite Ben line since "Teriyaki hairpiece."

Interesting, it kind of did the opposite for me.  After seeing the later crap-fest episodes of season 7 and 8 it made me appreciate seasons 2-4 much more for how great they were.  Parks is nowhere near as bad as season 7-8 of The Office, those were some rough times.

Classic Jerry screw-up!

I panicked too when I heard Jerry was retiring, great news that he'll be around the parks department for more "my marbles are full of mouth" and "twout" gems.
