It's also one of those things that even fans sometimes forget exists within this show: sympathy

IMO people are thinking too hard, there is absolutely no reason why this show can't have a man character both have sex with a lot of women and be semi-secretly gay

He wasn't gay for like 3/4 of the seasons

I thought this was maybe somewhere in the top two or three of the episodes of this show with the premise "the characters explain themselves to authority".

Well, arguably, Hollywood movies were about making money then and are about making money now and endless references make money now. For instance, they make the handful of people who still read A.V. Club comments glance for a few seconds at advertisements.

I bought the toys as a kid with my allowance, loved the cartoon, loved the movies, used them as a way to relate across generations, had that branded Dairy Queen sound effects gadget they discontinued because kids ate the watch batteries inside of it… I don't have any desire to see this, but it's because I don't

As a throwaway joke, you might see that. As a real show title, it would likely be considered too provocative, mean-spirited & tasteless to make it to production. Ireland and the UK have a … history.

Real O'Neals looks awful - what can it do for my brand of white people that Sunny hasn't got covered?

I hope we get a Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors treatment of the era first. I laughed pretty hard at a Japanese game where Oda Nobunaga, a contemporary of Copernicus and Galileo, flies around and shoots magic at people.

sigh

I say "Charles" in The Edge! It's my thing that I say!

Oh, yeah, 37 comments and counting on here days later, they really screwed the pooch on that one

This is a funny-looking show for me not to have heard about until Season 4. No way am I watching it with that lamer summary but thanks for the picture, looks like a pretty goofy show with a lot of mild chuckles in store for the viewer.

Well um thanks for telling us all about Tumblr and your various points of view about Tumblr, I will be sure to notice in the future things that people on Tumblr have to say about whatever it is you're talking about.

Sandrelli was all of 19 years old in 1965, and has a slightly unformed quality here that makes Adriana a poignant figure

I think we should come up with a catchy phrase for this concept, such as "the male gaze". Four letters in male, four letters in gaze, long a, I think it has legs.

Okay, however, you're wrong.

Except you weren't around until recently though, because you think the term "revisionist" is something new…

…sigh

My God, this all sounds like the most annoying show I could ever watch. Thanks for the tip-off. I can't stand people who think this hard about dates in real life, let alone letting them into my house on purpose through the magic of TV.
