White boys tend to not like Jones. They're not used to that kind of humor. What can I say? Watch more black comedy. It's grown up as an alternate cross-pollinated strain because of, well, racism. SNL has demographic interests at heart.

Often not, but okay. She got famous by being notably good at what she does.
And to otherwise make it into an erotic fan fiction for nerds.
So much so that it became a thing for Fawcett's staff to turn Mary Marvel periodically into the darkest character in the strip in a really queasy way for a kids' comic with cartoon tigers and so on.
Did it at least look lighthearted in any way? Even in a "really stupid vaudeville" sort of way?
Then you have those Gail Simone 2000s female superheroes where everyone is Justine and has suffered massive trauma and can't stop making terrible self-sabotaging mistakes. Scandal Savage, Misfit, and so on. And Simone would write these entire series' worth of scripts raking over the trauma in their lives while never…
To the movie-going public they are space cops with magic rings that have arbitrary abilities and that summary is already too long and complicated before all the Geoff Johns emotion stuff gets introduced. I include myself among people with that opinion.
I thought it was cool that they made Green Lantern a supervillain. That didn't stick and that sucked, I thought it was kind of crazy and neat that DC threw the least profitable of their late 1950s reboots under the bus so completely. I would have loved that if I had been reading DC Comics in the 1990s.
He would have been a good Green Lantern in a good Green Lantern movie. But I don't know if they can make one because Green Lantern is fucking boring.
There is no way I am reading all of that comment
I know I already made a variant on this comment but I want to reiterate, these movies look like ass even for a schlock festival like Sundance. Molly Shannon cancer comedies and capitalist dramas in Europe. What a year.
Two Ks and a triple-Z later, I never thought it could happen to me…
I think they're all fine but unremarkable, including this show!
This was sadly not nearly as good as Wilfred's debut. It's okay though.
The commercials made it look like a Zack Galifianakis thing. Imagine the look on my face when I tuned in and it turned out to be a Zack Galifianakis thing.
I'm glad they made it though. It will sit in my mind in a place that I'll go when I'm sad, and I'll think about how they made this movie and smile.
I'm sorry I missed X-Men this week but Gillian Anderson is a little too old to be a young Famke Jannsen in my opinion.
You could also see it as Moulton universalizing his sexual fetish of submission to women. That's what seems likely to me. He wanted to play 24/7 and managed that goal at the expense of others, including women, and he had fantastic ideas about turning the world into his erotic ideal.
