Also, the video game series is terrible
When I played those Genesis games for the first time, I sensed there was some sort of do-gooder political aspect going on with what appeared to be animals enslaved to power killer robots, in the instinctive way a kid could smell that shit from a mile off in pop culture in the early 1990s.
Later on in the series, they forced you to play as Knuckles and the soundtrack was a short rap track with lyrics about the goal of Knuckles in the level, looped endlessly as you slowly climbed things. This was when the series ended for everyone except the dark things that crawl below. The games now pander to the exact…
This will never become old to me, it is forever young
I don't normally like this sort of thing but this was a success of an article in my opinion.
"All the heightened emotions that Sonic and the gang normally only deal
with in the slimiest fan fiction were on display here, but it somehow
mostly lands." <-??????

I'm sure if they could just retweet @dril for this feature every time, they would.
Thank you for this good column about good comics.
At least they've gotten past that phase where they padded the episodes by explaining all the jokes after the punch line was delivered. I still don't know if it's become quite as bad as that again.
It's still very hard for me not to think of that character a la Slott and Ramos. I find the page you posted indistinguishable from most Marvel books: okay art combined with a bunch of self-quipping in a faint echo of Joss Whedon's television shows. Spider-Gwen at least looks and feels a little different.
Also, because of the Amazing films (and Spider-Man 3 to a much lesser degree) people actually know who the fuck "Gwen" is, vs. Spider-Woman
He will then choose six writers and six artists, pair them up, and have them create small works featuring characters from his own comics
As far as I can tell, this person is saying that Emma Stone should play Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman to mimic a comic book that has as its concept, more or less, Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman, plus a rock band. And I like the comic book, but that's like saying that gravity is a good argument for falling down.…
Question for the audience: Should I bother paying for this game? My limited enthusiasm for this series ran out about halfway through MGS4. I like the stealth mechanics for the Solid series well enough, I suppose, although it feels like some of them have been removed after appearing in previous games, but my power to…
I haven't bought a superhero book in a good long while, but I dig the art I see here for We Are Robin #4.
My favorite story on the topic is where someone set about attempting to fix the infamous E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Atari 2600 game, but in a way that could still fit on the original cartridge. They were successful enough at it and the acrobatics done in the assembly code are a sight to behold. It should still be…
There's no reason to deny that Fox News is out to get Trump by hook or by crook. They think he's bad news for their brand and they're not wrong, and his candidacy harms the chances of people who regularly appear on their channel. They'd certainly settle for a lie/cheat/steal method of taking him down.
Right…that's why you're so defensive…
