Ehhhhh... I think you’re falling into some correlation is not causation issues.

They’re so good. At Kroger I end up with all these bags with like one or two items in each one. TJ’s will stuff the bags to the brim but still everything’s secure and not smashed.
I’m curious how you lot would do a show about a women’s baseball team back when women even playing the game was virtually unheard of without the show “pushing a social agenda”. Would it be an hour each week of them saying, “This is fun but men are certainly better at it than us and I can’t wait to get married so I can…
Agreed on the conveyer belt self checkouts. Good in theory if you have another person with you to help bag, but it’s more efficient to use the standard self checkout style when you are by yourself because you can actually reach the bagging area after scanning so you can bag as you go.
“...I’ve been at grocery stores where I carefully sort things - heavier items first, cold items together, etc - and then the cashier just chucks them all in bags willy-nilly.”
Poisoned cookies, perhaps? And who brought them?
Having lived in various parts of “Dixie” for decades, I can tell you firsthand, the memory of the Confederate cause is not just still alive, it is both strong and widely prevalent, and LOTS of people instantly recognize Richmond as a symbol of The South in defiance of The North.
I heard Mumford & Sons referred to as “Imagine Wagons” the other day and I felt that needed to be shared wider. (it was probably on this site).
There hasn't been editing on these sites since before Hulk Hogan and Peter Thiel sued them.
I haven’t noticed many changes in the beer section at my Binny’s (Algonquin)...but I tend to go to Binny’s mostly for spirits/mixers/wine so I’m not always spending a ton of time in the beer section. I typically only get beer there when I’m hosting a party or something and I need a lot of it, my buying habits have…
@Pedantic if you haven’t been there, take a trip over 355 to Afterthought.
Binny’s is turning you into an alcoholic connoisseur. That’s their business model I guess.
Most of my friends who’ve been craft beer lovers for years, stocking up on cases of their favorite microbrews, have gravitated more and more towards simply buying a nice bottle of bourbon and having a cocktail as beer prices have climbed upwards. A four-pack of craft IPAs is typically $15-$20, which gets expensive…
“You need to cut that shit off cold turkey…just like I did with the Sierra Mist, huh, ma?” Frankie Quiñones is great in his return as Guillermo’s cousin, Miguel.
Funny you should say so, because many of the restrooms featured in the awards’ Hall of Fame are at airports, and one of this year’s finalists is aboard a boat!
I’ve read that its because streamers/studios/and such have it structured where they have to pay out substantially more money to shows that are on longer than 3 seasons. So its why you see a lot of shows get axed around that time, especially streamer shows.
That conquistador was a fucking asshole. And this show is really great. Really really great.
“...offered water by a stranger (the eponymous Maximus) who very clearly is weary of any and all strangers.”
Holiday World is great and I love how not many people know about it. Free sunscreen and soda all around the park is standard. The rides are all great and they even have two water coasters that are a rare for me, fun thing to do in the waterpark area.
