Honestly the Emmys have overlooked so many people and shows I don’t know where to start. Community, Parks and Rec, Jason Alexander never got one, Phil Hartman never did, genre shows are routinely neglected, like they’re somehow more consistently off the mark than the Oscars which is impressive.

More like D’Arcy Carden for The Good Place. Janet(s) is maybe my favorite episode of anything ever.

What? Sorry, Myles. I disagree. This was a solid B+.

Dear potato twitter man, on behalf of my stupidass countrymen, I am sorry.
I’m very glad you enjoyed your meal at a chain restaurant. A fairly huge amount of us regularly do that very often. And as much as I like to play on the typical french snobbery, the anger is just bullshit. Yes, we have a fair few really good

Its SUPER cringey how much old humor was basically “oh boy, I sure do HATE my wife, I hope she dies, or at least I can die to avoid her!”

I’m sure it’s because I’m a barren millennial spinster with no prospects but I’m also sure it’s because I watched my mother and aunts struggle in their relationships with men that I am convinced that marriages with men are a true dice roll in life.

Amen to that. I made an extremely mild post in that last thread about Jennings basically saying that I prefer not to watch Jeopardy if Jennings hosts (as a person with a physical disability, his tweet really rubbed me the wrong way), but that everyone has their own line for this kind of thing and to each their own.

It absolutely blows my mind that they just seem to outright refuse to even entertain the idea of hiring the person that the population overwhelmingly want who is about as far from controversy as a person can be.

What does a “scarcity mindset” mean?

My memories of the 90s - and I was a teen at the time - is of a period when it still seemed vaguely “acceptable” or at least just-this-side or permissible for teenage girls to be getting involved with “older” “men” (sketchy guys in their 20s). I also think (hope?) this was the dying vestiges of that trend.

I actually roared with laughter at this, you must be either very young or very healthy, but most human bodies do not process dairy well in adulthood, there’s no need to see a doc, this is simply a normal (yet horrible) part of lactose intolerance... I highly recommend lactase pills, just don't use them too much, you

Nothing in particular. I just really enjoy the cycle. The only thing is I wish the summer produce lasted a little longer and by February I am going to feel that winter produce has gotten monotonous. It's just a little out of balance.

I’d like to endorse all the comments about gadget usefulness for those with physical limitations but only in spirit, not so different from Dennis’s jokes about intent versus reality. I feel compelled to comment because well-designed products have good odds of serving that purpose unintentionally.

I unabashedly love my duo egg sandwich maker (as in the OP, but makes two rather than one).

Fieri has a specific reason for being apolitical (not putting his millions of dollars which allow him to be “above politics” in jeopardy). For people who are living on a working wage in this country, there isn’t the “freedom” to be apolitical.

He runs on pure liquid goodness and it makes him effectively immortal.

I mean, I don’t think “trying to protect your ability to make obscene amounts of money” is a very compelling reason not to take a stand on all the horrible, immoral things happening in the world, and I certainly think it’d be fair to criticize Fieri were that the case.  In any event, he doesn’t have to do anything,

Now playing

The one that comes to mind is the first episode of Fleabag season 2.

Fieri was filming at a restaurant my wife served at. Producers told the female chefs to wear clothes that didn’t show cleavage, as Fieri was prone to “stare”. I’m gonna sit this one out.

Mix fat-free greek yogurt and water 50-50.  Add a splash of peanutbutter.  Pour into muffin tins and freeze.  Poof - low or no fat treats.
