I became a big fan of Arial in high school when I discovered something interesting: 12 point Arial will make an essay that's less than 2 full pages in Times New Roman almost a full 3 pages. And since it's such a normal looking font, teachers aren't suspicious. Helped me fill quite a few length requirements when I

Agreed that it's too soon. I think it's a great idea and is inevitable if the show runs long enough (fingers crossed), but I thought they were just a little too obvious with it in this episode and wish they had let the idea develop a little more subtlely over a longer period.

I like The Middle pretty well and don't care for Better With You. As such, I don't feel any pressing need to turn on ABC's comedy block until 8:00(CST). If I had my 'druthers, The Middle would be on at 7:30.

Not true. They were dancing with their moms at the end there. I realize that's kind of lame, even for a junior high dance, but when your mom looks like Sofia Vergara or Julie Bowen, well…I guess that's okay.

    Uh…

Here's what men need to do vis-vis Christmas gifts for their ladies:

"IF'N YOU AIN'T THE GRANDDADDY OF ALL LIARS!"

To admit a shamful secret, I'm using IE8. It's not my fault though! It's my work computer! But the site usually works fine with it. I would use Firefox but we're not supposed to download new programs.

Is anyone else having problems with the site this morning? Links aren't working right, text is disappearing when I scroll and the Youtube embeds on Metal Box are either not playing at all or playing at chipmunk speed (which sounds funny, but really isn't when I want to hear the music). Is it just me?

Mike Mignola and Guillermo del Toro are hetero life-partners.

MACBETH IS NONSTOP FUCKING OWNAGE START TO FINISH.

I think Criterion's usual MO is to release stuff that hasn't been widely released in recent years or is out of print. Pan's Labyrinth wouldn't qualify and the BD already has shitloads of Criterion-esque features (first Blu-ray I bought, worth every penny and I would have happily paid several pennies more).

I enjoyed Inception and if I didn't have a Netflix subscription I may be tempted to buy it on BD.

Releasing the Home Movies DVD sets earns Shout! Factory several lifetime passes.

    Next step:
Christen his house (apartment? trailer?) Fort Kickass.

Auburn is going to DESTROY Oregon in the BCS Title Game. I have mixed feelings about it. I mean, I fucking hate Auburn, but if it shuts the Pac-10 people up for a while, well…lesser of two evils and all that.

And unless you fuck Nazis up with a whip, that is unacceptable.

Red Dawn opens with scenes of middle-schoolers getting mowed down by machine gun fire. Wonder if the ratings board would still give it a PG…

I think it's because there's like 30 people in the band and they're Canadian. Also Where The Wild Things Are.

Didn't that guy fuck his own daughter or something?
