It almost certainly won't happen, but I'm really hoping for a DiCaprio upset. It's a career best from him, and is the only way Wolf of Wall Street is going to get anything.

Speaking of double features, I watched Hell House back-to-back with the Casino Jack documentary about Jack Abramoff. It was extremely depressing to see credulous religious fanatics followed by a conservative political machine that aggressively takes advantage of them to extort Indian tribes. Not a great weekend for

Is anyone else excited for Arthur to come back? I haven't been looking forward to a Jeopardy episode this much since the Watson games. I think of him as a great villain, someone I love to hate. I can respect his play style while still begging for someone to beat him.

I thought it was great until the second they pull up to the garage with the classic Aston Martin in it. Everything after that was dreadful, though extremely well shot.

Whip It is extremely underrated. Drew Barrymore needs to direct another movie instead of slum it with Adam Sandler.

Maybe Mark Ruffalo for the Ryan Murphy movie coming to HBO?

Take your expectations and double them. Hannibal has no business being on NBC, sure, but that doesn't hold it back at all. I've been rewatching for the first time since it aired, and it is better than I remember.

"I spent $80,000 on a theater BFA. Of course, I'm talented."

Todd is kind. He's not envious, and so forth.

David Milch. There will never be someone as brilliant, or as insane.

Did it seem like she just gave up halfway through DJ? It's so depressing when contestants just start guessing on high-dollar clues.

Around the corner, art is made.

A do-it-yourself above-ground Walmart pool kit, erected in front of a trailer no-less.

Winterfell's not an island, you nerd!

Or it was never that good to begin with.

It's probably been my favorite movie year since 2007, definitely my favorite year for movie criticism and discussion. The furor around Wolf of Wall Street alone has been great, not to mention Spring Breakers, American Hustle, Her, and a lot more.

Jimmy did kill him, but Jimmy's dead. Gillian likely directed the cover-up after, since Jimmy was basically comatose. Junior (I don't know his name in Boardwalk) may have felt the need to get revenge for the Commodore's death from whoever's left in the Darmody family.

The guy can't work on HBO without some ostentatious character design.

Junior said "I owed Louis something. Surely, you must understand," Louis being the commodore. He must have known how the commodore died, since he helped clean everything up, and has apparently been holding a grudge ever since.

Ryan Murphy thought he could sneak one by me, but based on this episode, it's pretty clear what next season's premise is going to be:
