I agree that the Qarth adventure in the book is just an excuse to get to the prophecies in the House of the Undying.  In the show, I'll be shocked if they can do the prophecies, so how can the show make Qarth necessary?  I'm starting to think the main takeaway could be Xaro imparting some of his life story onto Dany.

I won't disagree that some of Dany's scenes have been repititive, but I think the show is pushing the idea that her origin story will only get her so far.  She keeps referring to herself as the Mother of Dragons because that's all she has.  She needs to take a little agency and build up some force behind her, which

In all fairness to the Freys, there's no evidence of incest going on.  Walder Frey just has a couple dozen children by eight different wives.  The oldest would be in his sixties or seventies, so in addition to Lord Frey's children, the Twins is swarming with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I gotta think he's got at least 200 pages of TWOW based on the seemingly arbitrary end to ADWD.

Minimal to nonexistent on the prophecy stuff.  A lot of weird shit followed by Dany yelling "Dracarys" and the dragons burn it down.

Xaro was annoying as shit in the second book, all the time with his Marry Me, like he's Maeby Funke.  I much prefer the show's version.

It makes sense if Jaime was going to suffer from death by Karstark that night.  Dead Jaime gets you nothing.  I thought they conveyed that well enough last week.  An extra scene at the beginning of the episode with an angry mob coming towards his cage would have sold it, but even without it, I thought the motivation
