I'm tearing up just thinking about the end of the episode two hours after I watched it.  Pretty sure Leslie Knope is the best female character on a comedy ever (qualified by my not watching pre-90's TV), flaws and all.  Anyone who disagrees should shut their beautiful piehole.

Phil also gets egged on by his super-Catholic wife.  Plus, when Phil finally does kill Vito, Tony, probably correctly, points out it's got just as much to do with Phil prodding New Jersey over a lot of shared history, like the vitamin hijacking and Phil's dead brother.  The guy wanted to pay back Jersey for Billy

That would have passed a year or two previous.

So how about that new Luck preview?  Please, please, please be good.

While I don't think Parks and Rec characters can be reduced to types, I think you've hit the nail on the head.  Community really tries hard with the character stuff, but because they aren't very consistent with it (Annie, Troy) or just bad at it (Shirley), it doesn't work for me.  While Ron calling Leslie "Leslie

Troy and Abed did really annoy me in this episode.  They're just getting too precious.  Plus, it feels like they're becoming catch-phrase machines.  It's similar to Todd's problem with Annie, such that everytime there's a little bit of character growth, it's quickly forgotten and now Troy's eating candy cigarettes out

I'm probably going to get murdered for suggesting this on this post, but Community is starting to actively annoy me.  I can't put my finger on why, but I think it's got something to do with the jokes coming from oft-repeated character beats.  Ha ha, Troy and Abed do shadow puppet theater.  Tee hee, Britta's

For one word lines, gotta give it to Marco.  Always gets a laugh.

That picture was really bad.  Mae Whitman's 20-something face on a 7 year old's body is a little disturbing.

Good to see rock troubador Donovan getting some play after he recorded that tourism info for an underwater Delta hub.  Hail Atlanta!

I think she had thought about how she would manipulate Tony if she ever ran into him, but I don't think she went to Johnny's grave that day waiting for Tony.

But you missed the awesome arc where Furio and the Russian team up and go after Tony's crew, which you were so clearly waiting for.  Can't wait til Todd talks about that epic-ness.

On Tony doin things he imagined his father disapproved of, there's a throwaway line about why Phil is involved in the midget auto racing track.  Tony says Johnny cut Phil in to pay off a gambling debt, implying that Johnny owed Phil a fair amount of money.  So if that's the case, the speech Johnny gave young Tony

I sympathize with JT for eventually getting his head blown off.  I do not feel sorry for a grown man making decisions to get himself involved with the mob.  Chris does certainly enable him, but the guy got where he ends up through his own bad choices.

It's extremely off-handed, and something I didn't even catch on previous viewings, but she mentions she knows a guy who can get ginkgo, fake rhino, some other bullshit TCM herbs.  It's completely irrelevant to the show, just something that irked me and my rationalist brain.

Two small comments pretty much unrelated to the Sopranos:

Tony does indeed remember Wegler as the riccione with the Billy Budds.

I do not agree with EG.  I remembered reading something a while back about Chase's plans for Tony B, so after some mild Googling, I found an interview he and Terrence Winter did with Sepinwall before season 6.1.  Chase talks about signing Buscemi to a 2-year contract, with the intent of him still being alive at the

I'd say one of the big differences between Cutty and Tony B, whose arcs I think aired the same year, is that Cutty had a boss/benefactor who was in favor, or at least impartial to his getting out of the game, whereas Tony B has a cousin who doesn't like it when people improve themselves and also still spends time with

Between Hung and Boardwalk, that's two shows that have picked their shit up since last year.  Do work, HBO.
