My greater point is that it doesn't matter a whit what comic book readers like or don't , they're a tiny, tiny, fraction of the TV audience.

If we're being honest, Barry hasn't shown much of a "spark" with Iris, Linda, or Patty. I'm starting to think Barry plays for the other team.(NTTAWWT).
So let me get this right: Patty leaves the show (at least for now) but Iris, the most boring, bland, terrible character in the history of the show, stays around. We've also shed Barry's Dad as a regular, and made Harrison super dull and backgroundy for the year. Does this show even understand its appeal?
Not to mention the comic book side of things is so pitifully small compared to the TV audience. The show could change every last thing about the flash, and it would piss off maaaaaybe 35,000 comic book readers?
C'mon, it's not like Patty is a top-notch detective or anything.
Your body needs protein, not necessarily "meat".
To be fair, most of everything about modern society is centered around eating. Everywhere you go, there is food. We base our day around food, our nightlife choices around food, and most entertainment has the possibility for eating involved.
Ahhh Gladiator. Now THERE'S an undeserving Best Picture if there ever was one.
No, I meant "How Green Was My Valley" won the Best Picture Oscar in 1942, beating the never again remembered "Citizen Kane".
Agreed. I think if they had tightened up the "drive home", it would have been perfect.
Ridley Scott didn't get a nom, he's way ahead of Coogler in the outrage dept.
It's also the worst of the songs NOT nominated.
So….
It's SO very very very terrible. It's biggest crime (apart from it's SamSmithness,) is that (like the film itself), it starts out building, and builds, but never really explodes.
"How Green is my Valley".
I love that he has 2/8 chances of being in the best picture.
If I had one complaint about the movie, it would be that after the "breather", the remaining chase sequence becomes a bit dull and overlong.
To be fair, there is a short break while everyone figures out what to do, followed by more batshit insanity.
I thought it was a great film. Engaging, interesting, suspenseful. All that on a pretty earthy science plot that had no business being as interesting as it was.
Getting VERY tired of "That character will be explained in the next movie" and "This is just set up for later". How about "This movie stands on its own, and we 're not going to give backstory and such in interviews" for a change?
