Tonight is one of the few nights I have free to watch basketball, but Spurs/Mavericks is not at all appetizing. The Mavericks are fucking abysmal and it will be an easy win for San Antonio. Looking forward to seeing the Thunder eviscerate the Lakers on Sunday though.

Jesus Christ, Boris covering Sometimes is something I never knew I wanted (like Deafheaven covering Mogwai's Punk Rock/Cody). That was fucking heartbreaking/gorgeous.

I would say it's probably the best starting point for Pynchon (that or the Crying of Lot 49). It's accessible, easy to follow, but still unflinchingly Pynchonian. And it's also fairly funny too.

If I remember correctly Doc was pretty short. I think Phoenix would be great and would fit the physical aspects much better than Jeff Bridges, who would do a fine job. But I always pictured Doc as a dwarf version of the guidance counselor from Freaks & Geeks, who I am far to lazy to look up.
