@Ed Burst: Peer review? Have you not seen the show? Mythbusters spend many episodes revisiting their previous experiments because of viewer feedback. The Mythbusters forums are full of feedback about flaws in their experiments. Sounds like peer review to me.

You picked TODAY to criticize a Lennon song? For shame.

Oh good grief.

I look forward to having Norwegian Wood.

In My Tribe
He produced 10,000 Maniacs' "In My Tribe", which was one of my favorite albums of that era. I also remember that it was one of the first "DDD" CDs — it was digitally recorded, mixed, and mastered, which was a rarity back then.

Jesus is his chauffeur, apparently.

ice skating
"Ice Skating: A term for smoking and/or being high on crystal meth (ie. Ice) that's designed to confuse cops and sober white people."

Magic Pixie Cab Driver
MPCD, a new meme?

Mmm, Banksy.

A simple prop…
Just played the video clip. Once you get past the harmonica, it sure sounds a lot like REM's "The One I Love". You can even here Buck's little guitar arpeggios in the background.

Yo Teach…!
When I saw the title, I assumed it was going to be a sitcom along the lines of "Yo Teach…!"

Seasons of Fail.

I actually liked the Kilborn version of The Daily Show, I thought it was quite funny. I remember being unhappy when Stewart was named as the replacement because his MTV talk show was pretty bad. See what I know.

It never changes tempo.

Hudson
I mostly know Mark Hudson from being in The Hudson Brothers, the pop trio who had a cheesy Saturday morning TV show in the mid-70s. That is all.

MPDG?
So is Emma Roberts a Manic Pixie Dream Girl in this movie? Because this sounds a bit like a teenage version of Garden State/Elizabethtown.

Wayne's World 3-D. Tagline: "You'll Really Believe A Man Can Schwing."

Maybe there should be a Gateway To Geekery about NPR itself. Where not to start: "Whad'ya Know with Michael Feldman". Shudder.

Was fun to see Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U" and Deee Lite's "Groove Is In The Heart" mentioned in the same sentence. I bought my first CD player in 1990 and both of those CDs were part of my first order from Columbia House music club. God, haven't thought of Columbia House in years, what a goofy system

That's the Early Show, not GMA.
