recently, and I have to say that while I agree that it was well acted, and the direction wasn't bad, it was about 30 min too long.

Who cares if anyone is watching? If you have watched it and were entertatined you should have the confidence of your own convictions to decide to continue. Whether or not other people, or how many people, are watching shouldn't come into play.
