I realized at the very end of the scene that the clock was running, so I rewound and watched it again to see the minutes tick by. AD consistently does endurance humor better than FG.

The crash sequence was really difficult to watch, and there were moments when I thought I'd have to leave the theatre. But hey, once the crash is over, it's all an addiction story, no flashbacks or nightmares.

I saw Flight, which was kind of a big deal for me since I'm very scared of flying. Zemeckis must have a thing for plane crashes.

It's entirely possible to read Son without any knowledge of Gathering Blue or Messenger, but it does provide a lot of backstory for characters who show up in the final third.

Sick backlash brah.

The creators referred to the episodes as "evergreen" in that interview with Todd (which I believe was conducted back at Comic-Con). So it's not like we just had a rash of using the word, it's actually how they described the backlog.
