I find it pretty amusing to watch the reactions of depictions of the government in media based on whose in power.

If you are waiting around to see what the mysteries are, I'll spoil every mystery on the show for you and then you can decide if you want to watch it: it's magic.

This is my biggest problem with it.  For a show that in the end claimed to be about characters, it showed a willingness to completely torch any characterization in service of that mythology (or not so much the mythology as a whole, but those last five minutes of every episode).

I think the conversation between Susan and George in the car is in the running for the greatest exchange in the series, right up there with the two in The Switch.  My favorite sight gag in the series might have to be George outlining the number 7 with his finger and then extending his hand to it like he's presenting

I think you are confusing the terms "smug" and "passionate".  You say we need more smug pundits, I'm guessing to "help our cause", but that completely ignores the basic fact that what Maher and Olbermann do actually hurts the cause because they are so smug and self-righteous when they are making their points, they end

Sean, you are missing the opportunity this provides for us liberals.  We could use this app to combat a group far more insufferable than your average libertarian Rand fan:

Strange Tonal Shifts and Emotions
First, I should say that I've been in and out for most of the season and I was essentially trying to watch the last hour of this and the new episode of Breaking Bad at the same time, so take this with a very large grain of salt, but some of the way the characters acted just

Yeah I just rewatched it too and it's hard to tell, but it doesn't sound like Mike or Gus, so the new guy would be a good guess.

When I first saw the killing, I remember thinking it took a certain suspension of disbelief for Victor to be targeted and that it was mainly, as I believe Sepinwall said, the TV math of the situation.

The show fully recognizes this and does a good job of screening the real depressing patrons. It basically limits it to happy-go-lucky tools whose stories always follow the "hey, I've had this for awhile and have absolutely no use for it/emotional attachment to it, I'd love to get some money for it" pattern.

Ann O'Connor, Socialist
I'm sure this has been said before, but it deserves to be said multiple times.

Instead of quoting the Bible, it is far easier to go the opposite route and quote Rand. If there was one positive thing about Ayn Rand is that she isn't subtle, she doesn't believe in metaphor, she doesn't beat around the bush. If she believes something, she's just going to outright say it and that's certainly what

Yeah, I find the connection somewhat fishy.

War on Drugs Redux
I'm a liberal whose support of gun rights is really the only issue I veer substantially right on and I do because I find the parallels between outlawing guns and the War on Drugs staggering.

In defense of this….
If you refer to soldiers as "fine, upstanding pieces of cannon fodder", you probably aren't the target audience for this.

What's An Intellectual?
I realized about halfway through that WTF interview with Michael Showalter that I had absolutely no idea what that term meant. They kept talking about trying to engage in an intellectual conversation and I had no idea what differentiates an intelligent conversation from an intellectual

Poor Aaron Staton
It looks like he's the focus of AMC's rage, given that their followup statement (via Business Insider) about wanting to cut down on characters:

This logic really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Of the Vonnegut books I've read, Breakfast of Champions is the one I like the least by far. In fact, I can't say I really enjoyed it at all.

As far as parenthood, I see the opposite. It's obvious that Louis views his kids as the greatest things to ever happen to him and watching that final episode, I'll tell ya, Louis eating breakfast in the wee hours of the morning with his two girls seemed like a Hell of a better time than spending it in dive bars and
