He's also the guy who frequents transvestite prostitutes, but thinks it's ridiculous that anyone would consider him less than 150$ heterosexual for doing so.

When Eric Schaeffer loses…
We all win.
Yeah, I just rewatched it again and I realized what I did. I heard him say "someone" and for some reason, I heard it in my mind Samuel.
So, Am I Going Out of My Mind?
Because, in the final conversation between Jacob and the Man in Black at the very end of the episode, I very clearly heard Jacob call him "Samuel". But I even CTRL +F'd it and I don't see anyone referencing that name. Not only that, but I see threads still discussing what his name is.
Lost…a Christian Parable
I was convinced last week that Lost would end up being a Christian parable ala BSG, with the Man in Black as Lucifer (or Satan, or, here wait for it, Samuel) and Jacob as Jesus Christ and this episode all but confirmed it.
I agree with the main poster. Normally, I don't like to do that because these guys are just doing their job and it's hard to attack a review without coming off like a bitter asshole. So I'll just say I'm sorry for doing this and I'll call this constructive criticism.
From the previews, it feels like it's going to be a "The Other 48 Days", but with each preview screaming THE TIME FOR QUESTIONS IS OVER, it's tough to assume what will actually be shown just based on that.
I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense. If he wants to control The Island, why not just let Smokey leave? And if the main job of The Island is to be a prison for Smokey, why would he want it?
Ha, honestly, I hope I'm wrong too. If this whole crazy show like Lost ends up being some type of Christian parable, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
I've always gotten the feeling that the Sub somehow has an autopilot feature that goes from the Island to the mainland and vice versa (even though the fact that we saw someone piloting the sub last episode kinda ruins that theory).
My cynical side agrees with the people that say you shouldn't look too much into stuff like this because the actual characters of Jacob and the Man in Black were probably only made up in the past couple seasons (before someone says something, yes I know the Smoke Monster and mentions of Jacob have been going for much…
I realize this isn't the most original or interesting theory, but I can't seem to abandon the idea that Lost is going to go down the BSG route, Jacob will end up being the reincarnation of Jesus Christ (who had to die to save the Island), Ben Linus is Judas, the Smoke Monster is Lucifer, and the Island is really Eden…
Wow, so we had completely different experiences then….
Because I'm loving FFXIII so far.
The Death of Libertarianism?
You just perfectly described why I find it hard to take libertarianism seriously.
The Flash-Sideways are good and all, but….
are we going to get any headway on the Island stuff or any background into these characters at all? This episode just reemphasized what I've been feeling about the flash-sideways all season. I like them a lot. Locke's, Jack's, and now Ben's all had been hooked and did a…
I think you are setting yourself up for a huge disappointment. Right now we are focused on two characters we didn't really know existed until the season finale of last season (and there's a really good chance the writers themselves didn't know they existed before the end of last season, so that should give you your…
The Temple…The Start of Crushing Disappointment For Us Nerds?
Hey, I found one more thing to complain about! The Temple. First off, I could eat my words with this one because, are some of the people still in the The Temple? I don't remember if they showed the Illana group actually escape from The Temple or not. If…
With what Michelle said about the new tone, I think it's obviously the focus on Jacob vs. unLocke that's changed the tone.
I wouldn't put too much faint in the previews. Every episode this season has used the catchphrase, "The time for questions is over", and yet nothings been answered this entire season.
Good vs Evil, but now there's no good?
Does anyone else feel like something weirds going on here in the whole Jacob vs. unLocke War? I mean, since The Temple was wiped out, it seems like there's just one side left. I didn't really realize it when I was watching it, but now looking back, it seems like the show has…
