Honest to God, I remember watching him on Weekend Update when I was small (like, too-small-to-be-up-that-late small) and thinking, "I'm pretty sure this is funny, but it doesn't make me laugh" and I guess that's a pretty serviceable definition of droll humour. Serviceable enough for an eight year old, anyway.
