I feel a bit like a broken record here (not for JtV reviews, but I've mentioned this on reviews for other shows)… But I am tired of reviews with too much recap. I don't need this review to present analyses about stress management and communication; watching the episode already does that for me! I felt this way about

I know she's not really a contender for the Glen-Gary-Gene-George Award anymore, but I think Maya deserves it for "He didn't do anything, it was me! I pooped my pants in this enclosed office!" Also, "I have psoriasis."

I agree, that scene was more emotionally affecting (more so than anything Rafael was going through, in my opinion) and encapsulated what makes Petra a great character. For all of the crap she's pulling, it comes from a believable place of loneliness and frustration.

A forgotten sitcom that I've only just come around to: Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23! The writing's a bit clunky, but Krysten Ritter is quite the comic revelation, and she makes me almost want to watch Jessica Jones*

Before watching the ep, I clicked on the "For reference" link and was delighted to be led to Heart! And "You Go First" did not disappoint (though it reminded me more of "What About Love" than "Alone"—but I'll take any Heart I can get). "Research Me Obsessively" sounded like a Tove Lo song, no? Pretty spot-on musical

I am one of those people who was pretty disappointed to see Greg leave, but you are right, the supporting characters really stepped up their game, and I found myself not missing Greg at all.

The grammatical errors were a bit distracting…please keep up the good writing standards and please proofread, AV Club!

I am reluctant to agree because I want this show to succeed and all of the storylines to be perfect…but when I step back, yeah, it is a little difficult to care about what is going on with the Solanos. I didn't feel like the prolonged letter reveal was super impactful. I do think, however, there were some clever

I'm a little confused at to why that's really even happening, though. Mostly because…why didn't Paula tell Rebecca about her abortion? When Paula was giving her line of reasoning in this and last episodes, I didn't understand that at all. It seems so easy for her to tell her.

It has to go to the off-screen Suzy Reynolds. She's a state senator now!

I don't think they completely threw away her awfulness, right? She was a bit condescending about the people at Electric Mesa and still quite vain and superficial—just enough to show glimmers of her extremely terrible self we saw last season. But throughout the episode, I thought it was nicely established that because

I think it aligns more faithfully to Petra's character to have her mainly being her cold and calculating self and getting shit done as the immediate fallout from her recovery. Like Oliver said, her character is fundamentally inspired by over-the-top drama, so that is what comes out of her first, before the more

This episode could deserve an A just for Yael Grobglas's performance in that last scene. She totally brought back the true Petra in chilling fashion. #TheBitchIsBack

Did no one else laugh at "I'm afraid I INSIIIIST!" as much as I did? That was one of Will Forte's best line deliveries ever.

I'm in the same boat: I'm really going to miss Greg. I think he was my favorite non-Rebecca character—hilarious but also flawed and complex. But yeah, his departure does make sense, though, so that is ultimately the better victory than keeping him around in a stagnant way. But man, I will miss having him (and his

Why is this review so short? And most of it was just summary or future predictions, which are things I do not need in a critical review. Come on, AV Club, give me the beautiful reviews I come here for!

I disagree; Sin Rostro's actions had a lot to do with Jane's broken relationship with Rafael, and she was always around as a Marbella employee. And besides Sin Rostro, there were other crazy plotlines like with Petra and Magda, so I agree with @disqus_WzxWP03rAO:disqus that it would be great to see Jane's life

It's still unfortunate that the crazier telenovela plotlines feel so disconnected from Jane and her family now. The first season did such a good job of tying in all of the show's high and low elements, as Jane's life and relationships were directly affected by Rose's actions; but now, the goings-on with Rose and Elena
