I didn't wade through the comments yet, but has anyone yet sung the praises of those great latter-day power-pop revivalists Nada Surf? They're a bit moody at times, but "Always Love" is a stunning power-pop masterpiece and there's shimmery hooks and harmonies all over 'The Weight Is a Gift' and 'Let Go.'

I met Marcia Gay Harden briefly a few years ago, and she was just astoundingly fucking nice.  A total sweetheart.  Which makes her ability to play a totally convincing ice queen that much more impressive.

100% disagree with Tobias's dismissal of the Ti West segment.  Unsurprisingly, it's the best character study of the bunch, and my wife and I found the "twist" both frightening and genuinely unsettling.
