Yup, just watched it tonight - loved that.

    Worst. Review. Ever.

So how do I reconcile this with the "A" that Moonrise Kingdom got on that website… um… what was it…

A great episode would stand on its own and wouldn't require the viewer to "pick up a book." I agree with the grade - a good episode, could have been better.

"If you don't like Iron Maiden, you're not allowed to listen to Darkthrone." Um… does that include the Paul Di'Anno stuff? Is it okay if you stopped liking Iron Maiden after Somewhere in Time?

Having now listened to both versions I have on headphones (Southern Lord vs. Tee Pee), I can confirm that, in fact, the new reissue is louder, and the mix is a bit brighter.

I have both, and the new mix DOES sound better. A bit less muddled, the guitar is clearer, and I think it's LOUDER.

"Sunn Zero and the Three Close Parentheses" - ha!

Yeah, that was my favorite part of the movie.

Nope. Jerusalem was the cut-up version that the studio made the band release. Dopesmoker is… well, awesome.

    Hope this doesn't double-post…

True. I tend to focus on the heavy-ass bass/guitar sounds, but this would be NOTHING without the drumming.

Fuck yes. Earthless has a tragically small discography so far - only two full-lengths, a live record, and a couple EPs. "Rhythms" is astounding. One of my favorite driving albums (although you have to keep an eye on the speedometer…).
