    Norma Jean
I guess this kind of applies. I heard a Norma Jean track (Memphis Will be Laid to Waste) in a record store and pretty much immediately bought the album (Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child). There's some really good, heavy stuff on there (opening track, the dirge-y Pretty Soon, I Don't Know What, but

And "Everyone Should be Killed" is one of the best album covers ever.

I was going to mention Anal Cunt as well. Seth Putnam is a completely repugnant raging asshole, his music is shit, and I absolutely love him. Even the less offensive stuff, like "Living Colour is my Favorite Black Metal Band," is hilarious.

    Their there!

I also like Nowhere better, but "Chrome Waves" and "OX4" are pretty good tracks.

I'd put Ride WAY ahead of Chapterhouse, which I find incredibly bland.

    Concurrence.

One of my sister's friends gave us a cassette with "Just For a Day" on one side and "Loveless" on the other. I wore that tape out.

Ian MacKaye, it turns out, is a pretty nice guy. At an indie rock festival in Arlington VA (back in the 90s), I approached him at the Dischord table, then suddenly remembered I was wearing a Minor Threat shirt. I half-seriously tried to cover it up when he saw me, but he said something like "don't worry about it" and

So what did stop you from listening to Ministry? Filth Pig? 'Cuz that should do it.

"Catrall was hot as a Vulcan in Star Trek VI"

    You.Are.Failing.

From "Busting (or not) 10 top myths about technology"

    Wow, content recycler…
    Really reaching there, huh?

…or is it just the number on men who play AS women…?

I loved Broderbund's games. I plated Karateka endlessly on our Atari 800. And hey, Printshop?

I borrowed Judas Priest's "Turbo" LP from the library in the late 80's and hid it under my bed. I was actually a little disappointed when I figured out that my parents didn't really care…

But I know you don't care. You've had bad experiences with lousy friends who ditched you for a video game. That sucks, sorry to hear it. I think, though, that it speaks more to their character than anything else.

Here's the thing - there are over 12 million WoW players. Of those 12 million, I know of 1 person who lost his job due to injury, became obsessed with the game and neglected his wife and family (Oops, that's right, nobody has a wife and family. My bad.) and ended up, for a variety of reasons, divorcing. Cuz yeah,
