Mrs. KGB and I just started listening to S-Town this week - we only got through the first two episodes, which was a very sudden place to stop listening. So far so good, I'm definitely pot committed into hearing what happens.

He is pretty grabby. Makes sense.

I'll admit I didn't come up with it - I think I saw it on Twitter or something many moons ago - but it really is the gift that keeps on giving.

This is a Zach Braff joint?

    "My cocaine."
    - Michael Caine saying his own name. I laugh every time I think of this.

Dawes is really good live. I didn't know they had a live album!

    Just bought tickets. Nice.

Stillwater's failure to fulfill contractual obligations.

I would also, uhh, like to express my fondness for this, uhh, cast.

This is awesome - I love it.

Yeah - Big Thief freaking owns. I think I'm most excited to see them out of any non-Wilco related band - but I was already super into Masterpiece and have already played the shit out of it.

I saw Oberst play in Cooperstown a few years ago (Dawes and The Baseball Project opened, both of which were legit cool) so he obviously brought up baseball, and said the he grew up a Kansas City Royals fan - he also made mention of that being a bummer because they never win - but they ended up winning the World Series

I'm sure Dave Franco enjoys small dogs and buying old things, too.

Seriously! I know that being compared to Dylan is a perpetual albatross around Obersts' neck, but that track to me has the feeling of a classic barn-raising Bob Dylan track, with the organ hits and that all-hands-on-deck feel.

Mrs. KGB and I will be on the road a lot over the weekend to attend a wedding, so we'll have lots of car time for tunes. On my to-do list will be:

Well put, and agreed. The fleshed out songs still have dark subject matter, but are more pleasant sounding at least. Ruminations is great, but it's definitely a bit of a bummer. I'm really digging a couple of the new tracks, too.

Same. I don't dislike it, at all - and I can't decide if the album hasn't stuck with me yet because it's just not great, or if it's because I'm distracted by so much other new music that came out by acts I love in the last few weeks (Conor Oberst, Craig Finn). Probably a bit of both…

I didn't even see they were opening, but I was already excited that Oberst was coming. Now I'll have to bone up on Hop Along.

Jason Lee's delivery of that line is one of my favorite things ever.

Oh shit, I forgot Yelchin was in "Rudderless". That movie has been on my to-do list for a while now, mostly because of Crudup & Macy's involvement, but also because musician Ben Kweller is in it, who I've been a fan of forever.
