That line always felt off-character for Dillon's role, but it's so funny and quaint, I'm glad they used it.

lol - yeah kind of figured that had to be the answer.

"High hit 'em high hit 'em high hit 'e, high" - whatever that DMX Song was called…
"I Believe I can Fly" was a MASSIVE R Kelly hit (mentioned already, but that song was huge).
That "Miserlou" theme song from Pulp Fiction was in the movie, although probably not on the sound track.

Yeah Vince Vaughn was pretty great in that role, honestly. His PG-13/R pep talk, his "You Grow's up and you grow's up…." ridiculousness in the diner…

I hear you - Heavyweights, The Sandlot, The Big Green….not sure, could be animation taking over, could just be that they're too expensive to make compared to the rate of return (a lot of studios don't make $20M films anymore).

Sorry you go to parties with too many jackasses?

Yeah - it doesn't particularly match up with my generation (I find I consider quintessential 90's films ones that dealt with characters closer to my age at the time like Mighty Ducks, Can't Hardly Wait), but damn Swingers really is 90's as all get-out. The Swing dance fad, the Sega Genesis EA Sports NHL Hockey scene,

All of this because of a shark named Peppy….

I loved that episode, it was such a nostalgia trip, as I'd seen Airborne so many times on HBO growing up.

Swingers came to mind, although it's very LA-Centric

It's really great, in my opinion. A good hang out movie. Clever dialogue as Cameron Crowe is wont to do. Good soundtrack. Grunge musicians able to poke a little fun parodying their scene. Damn I want to watch it this weekend now.

Did we just become best friends?

I want to open a sliced bread company named "Best Thing Since".

    So it goes :-(

I feel like their ages at the time each comment was made are somewhat relevant, too…

Just finished a four day weekend that was literally as filled with college basketball as one could possibly be. My busted brackets hate me. My body and liver hate me. Mrs. KGB hates me.

I haven't had a chance to check this out yet, but it's high on my to-do list.

Yes, there's a glut of them.

I honestly keep forgetting that St. Paddy's day is rolled up in on this long weekend coming up! Good stuff.

    Thanks for enabling me, haha.
