The Max Brooks explanation on this and a lot of other zombie-related issues actually make sense (he posits a certain amount of lag time between infection and zombifaction, and that popular disbelief combined with the appearance of the virus in an area without free and open media would contribute to a large-scale

Kind of.

I'm developing a keen dislike for those guys.

At least you guys got burned by a good team and an elite quarterback. We lost on a last two-minutes comeback by Russell freakin' Wilson. I was expecting Brady to drive down the field and take the game back on a no-time-left field goal because that would have been much less unbelievable.

Thank you for the mental image of Billy and Coach having that exchange. Thank you so, so much.

I got the impression they're digging into Alicia and Will's possible affair as part of investigating the campaign worker's claim that the Florricks have an open marriage.

There's room for an interesting storyline if they connect it back to the mystery of how Kalinda BECAME Kalinda, which popped up at the end of Season 2 and hasn't really recurred. That's a story I want told. This one is both off-tempo with the rest of the show and getting very repetitive. Dragged down what could have

I'm all for more Lana and less Nick. This would be a solid way out of this.

They need to start connecting it with the rest of the damn show, at the very least. I'm also glad they noted again that Kalinda seems to be missing work an awful lot. Seems like something other characters would notice more than they do.

YES. Covered this above, but as much as I liked all the action tonight, not every episode is likely to be that way for budget reasons alone. I was more reassured by the fact that when they did speak, the show actually seems to be investing in its characters a bit. This episode felt a lot more like the series I was

Assassination attempt, or Carol not being as great a shot as she thinks?

She was probably extremely vulnerable to any sort of illness after her flight from the zombies post-barn attack. She's portrayed as running without sleeping or stopping for a long-ass time, and she likely wasn't at her healthiest to begin with. Wouldn't take much at that point.

Did they? I have no memory of this.
