I am suddenly hungry for chocolate chip cookies.

@ Batman: I think you're right. There were little efforts to make him sympathetic, aside from the death of his family (which, if I remember correctly, he caused). More than anything, the exposition shows why he's a motivated character more than a sympathetic one.

I agree, RB. The violence is certainly gratuitous, but that's been the calling card of this series from the beginning. I'm glad they indulged it.

According to that movie where Eddie Murphy wears a fat suit, "Women be shoppin'!"

Dr. Butt, that shit made me laugh out loud. High five.

@ I like hot dogs: Who is Sarah Palin?

I'll bet it tells you what to do in the book. Probably something involving partitions.

Kirstie Alley cares. This is her livelihood we're talking about.

She was slightly less nauseating then, but barely.

Miracle Whip would be a lot better if it were Cool Whip.

I agree, AMWF. X2's story was painfully stupid - essentially a Power Puff Girls episode with heaping amounts of angst - but the job system kept things simple. Having fewer characters to manage helped, too.

Motion controls still seem gimmicky to me.

You couldn't be more right, PVC, and it's unfortunate. The Gamecube was relatively solid (aside from missing a stellar Mario title) for RE4 and Metroid Prime if nothing else, and the motion controls seemed to have a lot of potential, so I had high hopes for the Wii. It's been pretty much a slow and frustrating

Agreed, RB. I appreciate trophies that encourage you to do a second playthrough and take a different approach. InFamous did this well, I think. Upon finishing the game as a "hero," I played the game through as a "villain" and, while the majority of the content was the same, some of the evil side missions - maybe it

From a layman's perspective, Blizzard appears to be excellent from an economic perspective, but far less excellent from a gaming perspective. There's greatness to be found in, for instance, World of Warcraft, SC, and WC II and III, but each is pretty repetitive.

Galaxy is fan-damn-tastic. No doubt about it. Certainly worth a second/third playthrough.

Because your recommendations are articulate and thorough, and because your stuffed bear icon puts me at ease, I just purchased Resistance. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the recommendation, RB. I'll check out Resistance. How about Resistance 2? I was also considering Killzone 2. Worth it?

That definitely helps, HM. I'm generally more interested in single-player than multiplayer, but the cooperative focus of BC2 is pretty attractive. And, frankly, being able to blow up the scenery seems like it'd be cathartic.

Thanks for the feedback. Seems like MW2 is the cock of the walk in this category, but I was hoping B:BC2 would provide enough of a variation on the theme to be worthwhile.
