There was absolutely zero hype for this movie before its release. The movie could not look more stale and by the numbers. Hoping that this bombs and doesn't somehow become a hit overseas.

I suggest people read Richard Roeper's review on Roger Ebert's site. Good stuff.
Paleontologists knew about it way before 1970. They just did a real shitty job of spreading the word to the general public.
I actually really liked Lily Rabe's portrayal as the Devil. I just didn't find anything associated with that plot too be even the slightest bit creepy, and the Devil plot was completely dropped after she got thrown off the staircase.
That bully was such a moron. The Brontosaurus isn't even a real dinosaur! The real name of the dinosaur that people commonly associate with Brontosaurus is the Apatosaurus. That kid obviously didn't have Walter White as his teacher.
I surprisingly somewhat enjoyed the finale. It was a lot more emotional than I was expecting, and it scaled back the random craziness compared to the rest of the season. I still can't say that I really enjoyed the season overall though.
Killer Croc's redesign looks like crap compared to the original.
Probably a ton of spam from change.org and groupon.
According to Alan Sepinwall, they were working on casting Donald Glover even before the diversity criticism really flared up. Their argument though was obviously a bit of meta commentary on a lot of complaints directed toward the show.
I laughed at the hotmail line. All I can do is shake my head when I meet someone that still uses AOL as their primary email address.
They might as well just cancel the whole show now.
Nice to hear that this film subverts some modern horror conventions a bit.
The actual review had more spoilers than this piece does.
You can rent the unedited version on Amazon for $2.99 if you want to watch it legally. Supposedly looks gorgeous in HD.
Tim Drake must have one of the most fucked up lives in all of Western Animation.
Sorry, but the most overrated critically acclaimed film of the year was easily The Master. From a technical perspective, The Master was very well made though, so I guess it isn't consistent with the rest of your criticism.
The only category I really care about is Cinematography. After being nominated and losing 9 times, Roger Deakins deserves his day in the sun. It helps that Skyfall looked fucking incredible.
Terrific premiere that reminded me how much I miss this show during the rest of the year.
I saw Memories of Murder for the first time this year and loved it. The closing scene hit like a ton of bricks and the whole movie was a masterful blend of horror/tragedy with small comedic moments.
