Hah, I was thinking the same thing as it was happening! The missile finally caught up to him.

It's really fascinating to go back to those Season 1 episodes and realize just how different it was. Not BAD, mind you, but it just followed those CBS beats so tightly it's fascinating to see how Nolan and others evolved the show out of that. There were hints of bigger things, but I don't think anyone expected those

We did have that bizarre backdoor pilot episode a few weeks ago, it could happen!

Yeah, that one hit me hard.

Relevance was a prime example of PoI's ability to just flip and bend its structure whenever the writers felt like it. Even with how rigid it could be from a basic narrative standpoint(heroes get number, have to save/stop them) what the team could do with that was always constantly surprising.

Hope Davis is the only cast remember left who's really trying to do a Season 1 hammy performance.

I thought Keeper was pretty good until the pat resolution, which felt very "end of a CSI episode" in a bad way.

At least Highlander 2 looks nice.

Bad Company was downright bizarre. It had the same issue Bait did, where the whole film was actually shot like a gritty R-rated Bruckheimer action film but a script right out of a bad 90's Martin Lawrence vehicle, with dumb pratfall gags galore.

Good for him, Bassett does some incredible genre work on TV and I'd like to see him break out into feature-film action or horror films some time soon.

4 is bad, but 3 feels like a TV movie compared to the rest of the series.

Bill Condon's Candyman 2 commentary is basically him going "Well, I could have done this better." for the entire runtime.

I think you nicked an artery, man!

His performance in the last ten minutes is incredible. It's all on his face, just watching John break down for the last time and leave everything behind.

Yeah I guess that's true, it goes all the way up to "A very important police detective" so I guess that doesn't qualify as "the top."

I really, REALLY liked the first Jack Reacher movie.

He ad-libbed all of his dialogue in Stone Cold. That's not a joke, he thought the script was crap and asked the director if he could just riff and the guy said yes, so he just went wild.

It made no sense. He could have made his minion throw Harold into the clean room and then walked out and the exact same thing would have happened, the sacrifice served no purpose.

He had a pretty unfortunate haircut in that first Underworld movie.

I've been trying to find a decent copy of Good Neighbors for a while. I can't even get find it through less legal means, it's just a total blip on the radar.
