Herrington also directed the Bruce Willis classic Striking Distance, which starts out as a fairly conventional cop thriller but by the third act is a ridiculously insane action spectacle as you'd expect of the Road House director.
Someone's a little salty today.
That Paul Schrader movie wasn't good, but I could see a cut of that movie that would have honestly been way better. You can see the good ideas and scenes poking out the edges of the project.
And the John Rain series from the same directors.
At least The Watcher was hilariously bad instead of just dull.
All I could think about watching Hustle was "The Informant! was better then this movie in each and every way."
Kacey Rohl, huh? Must investigate further.
Remember when David O Russell didn't feel the need to be the next Scorcese and could actually have some fucking fun? Remember how good Three Kings was?
I can't imagine ever watching American Hustle ever again. I didn't even hate it, there's just no merit to another watch in any way, shape or form.
This show is certainly serving up the overcooked dialogue and freshly-baked ham performances House of Cards has.
Aww, The Prophecy was awesome!
This isn't great, but at least this episode had a sense of forward motion I appreciated and Lewis has already gotten more comfortable with the role.
I do appreciate that Costabile's dialogue is getting so insane that even the other characters on the show are noticing. It's like Malcolm Tucker by way of Gale Boetticher.
Ouch.
Four if you include The Faculty.
Aziz Anzari has always been deathly unfunny to me, and I give full credit to Parks for making me enjoy his performance for even small amounts of time.
She's way better this season then she was in 3, but they haven't ironed out all the kinks yet.
It just didn't belong in the gritty reality of the show. It was too "movie" for what Homicide was.
I checked out of the show right after the famous Vincent D'Onofrio subway episode because I hated everyone from The New Crew that season. They replaced everyone with TV-typical pretty stars, and other then Peter Gerety none of them had a personality worth caring about.
