And by "everywhere" you mean a couple Florida golf courses, though the timing to set that up would be pretty crazy.

The raids were great. As a solo player, I never went through the normal channels (LFGs) to try my hand at them early on for fear of the horror stories and simply wasting my time. Eventually I forced myself to do them, and there are some good resources out there for noobs (sherpas, and streamers who do help runs).

Bloom is garbage and should never have been added to the game (Bungie didn't learn its lesson from Reach, apparently), but I can't agree more on the movement and gunplay. There's nothing smoother or more rewarding out there.

The grind right now (at the close of D1) is a lot more forgiving than it was initially in terms of leveling up your character and gear. The amount of grind also depends on what you want out of the game. For me, I want the best weapons and gear across all 9 subclasses so I can play any style I want and be geared…

The only counter to god-rolled shotties was eliminating special ammo. That's why people who can't kill anyone with a primary all went to sidearms, ironically making it easier to shoulder charge and kill with a shotty assuming you have ammo.

You'll be happy to know that no one in the Beta used the rocket because it came with one shell and sucked to boot. The fusion rifle (too much ammo) and shotgun were great, with the sniper trailing behind.

I think the soul extractor told the family they could go as high as 15 percent — after they had agreed to 10 percent — before things got dicey (and make more money in the process, of course). And what's 5 percent between friends, after all?
