This was my favorite part of the episode, minus the smaller jokes, for that very reason.
If this development happened during the Harmon era of the series, I don't think we would be complaining. Britta tells Abed to go to his happy place, he imagines his friends in a slightly-brighter colored version of his regular

At first I thought that her sarcastic "nice turtleneck" meant that Criss literally has the neck of a turtle. It took me a full day to figure out that I was wrong.

I personally feel like it'll suddenly get better during the second half of the season, ala season 7 of The Office. Still, god damn has this season been piss-poor. I have no joke to end this comment, it's THAT bad.

I bought season 3 on DVD last week, and have been powering through the season. I decided to leave a little review, because there are like 63,000 comments here so why not?
I realized while watching that this season works much, MUCH better as a season-long story, and my views on this season have astronomically improved

It was sort of contrived and silly, but it was also wholly original and full of great jokes, and real emotion that this show hasn't produced in a while, at

I always watched this show on and off whenever it came on Adult Swim, but I never really got into it on a "wow this is amazing TV" level like many of you, it was just comfortable, forgettable TV to me. Do you guys have any suggestions on the best episodes of the series, to help me get hooked?
