This isn't actually news as in "something that recently happened." It's more of a "new to us." He talked about this in the Nerdist interview 6 months ago, and I got the impression he made it in the late 80s/ early 90s.

It could be as @bradwestness:disqus says: "never talk" in the present tense. I know I heard/read an interview that said that Wilson and Glover were paired up in rehearsals. (I think it was in a podcast where Wilson described Stolz's being fired.) So "never talked to him" doesn't make sense to me.

How is it possible that Bobcat Goldthwait isn't pictured on Podmass for Police Academy week? It's almost as if the AV Club doesn't care deeply for the Police Academy series.

Whatever he is, he's not food.

I was wondering if that was "the day job that shall not be named" that Telfer kept talking about.

My money's on Ellen Degeneres.

And I skip the science ones, it works out perfectly.

Walking the Room's current theme is probably my favorite, though I have a soft spot for DLM's theme too. The worst podcast theme is Walking the Room's original theme — it made me wince every time it would come on.

For In Our Time listeners, I don't think it's been mentioned here before, I just found out there's an archive going back to 1998 on iTunes that's organized by theme (Philosophy, History, Science, etc). It's pretty awesome, I highly recommend it as a "learning about things" podcast.

MBMBAM's voices are what's kept me from trying out their podcast. Even though I've downloaded a few episodes, I can't bring myself to push Play.

That would seriously be awesome.

Id love to see Get a Life.

The Questlove was the first one I'd listened to and it was really great. Also interesting that Questlove actually listens to their podcast. Then I listened to the "Cutty" from the Wire one, which was harder for me follow. Maybe I was just distracted… But I'm really enjoying The Champs so far.

Speaking of the Wire, vulture has correctly chosen it as the best drama series of the last 25 years.  I dunno if anyone here was following that…

That's rational, though I think emotionally it would affect you to be more anti-abortion, because you can relate to the fetus.  What i really don't understand is why you would tell your child she's an abortion survivor — I can't see any good coming of that.

cool, I'll check that out!

I think iBrain was in the Best of 2010, not 2011, if that helps.

Clearly one of them is like the Sex Pistols and the other is like the Clash. Or one is like Nirvana and the other is like Pearl Jam. No, wait, one is like the Beatles and one is like the Beatles with pop culture references.

It's also the name of a city in Italy. (sorry this post isn't funny)

Andre 3000 is awesome in general and in this song in particular.
