Wow, I just remembered that High School Musical and Glee are two different shows.
Please continue with your masturbation discussion.

That's nice!!!!

He's on one of the pay episodes from Bumpershoot - the one with Doug Benson. I highly recommend buying all three (I'm actually not sure if you can buy them separately). Also he's on a DLM.

I actually preferred Ed from Northern Exposure. Maybe it's his weird loner, inability to communicate thing.

@avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus Oh you won't miss it, don't worry. It goes on for the WHOLE podcast.

I was about to ask if anyone had heard the Dana Gould podcast. I love me some Dana Gould.

You gotta give props. That guy was super skilled at the Len Maltin game. (Plus I'm sure people would have complained if Graham Elwood won anyway.)

That's very true (Nick Kroll as well IMO). Maybe they could animate those bits after the fact like they do with the Ricky Gervais show.

Cant wait for more Hot Saucerman!

@ charles - did Tom and PFT have a falling out? What is that all about?

BBC's In our Time with Melvyn Bragg is a good one. It takes some concentration because they go really in depth.

and England and vodka and funk music…

Don't forget his Hot Dog.

My first reaction was outrage that DLM wasn't on the list, but it's true that there are a lot of great podcasts this year.
My ballot would be :

Me too. PFT's hilarious, but he's much better when interacting with someone else than just riffing on his own. His podcast lacks a certain energy.

I'd recommend starting with last week's ep "Crackers." It was one of the best so far.

The BBC history podcast is In Our Time with Melvyn Bragg. It is the opposite of scratching the surface.

Exactly. I am actually more sympathetic to the argument for eating fast food because you're broke - that's actually cheap (in the short run). To make a tomato sauce like Bourdain was describing costs way less than going to the Olive Garden, that's why he was getting righteous about it. He wasn't saying we are all

I actually really liked this Doug Loves Movies. Garlin can be overwhelming as a guest, but to me it worked this time. Of course it would have been amazing with Rooker there too.
(I'm listening to today's DLM right now and apparently Rooker showed up ten minutes after the taping last week. So close!)

Yes, this too. All that stuff, and the classification of "drug warriors" was coming from Maron, not Bourdain's braggadocio.
