The Movies' Pacing Problem
I've felt like a lot of the Harry Potter movies are in too much of a hurry, and I've always wished they would slow down and catch their breath. This one does that, and now I wish it would pick up the pace again.

The first two are definitely the weakest. I'm not crazy about this one for a few reasons, but it's much better than the first two.
Hands on a Hard Body
For the record, Hands on a Hard Body was a big hit with my friends. In Nashville. That was on DVD.
I saw Goonie before I hit puberty. I still fall in the Goonies-is-pretty-lame-camp. Doesn't stop me from quoting it from time to time, though.
Transformers: The Movie
I saw the original Transformers: The Movie when I was ten and also bought the soundtrack (Ghostbusters was another soundtrack I played a lot around that time). I submit that album for a favorite film soundtrack in all its cheesiness.
I want to see this so badly
That is all.
I would like to see this!
But it's not on Netflix.
I've this twice in a packed theater full of people who were absolutely loving it. Sometimes you just don't know how to react to what you're seeing, but when everyone else is laughing, it's impossible not to get into it. This movie is nothing but incredulous fun from beginning to end.
I saw this in a nearly empty theater, too. And by the time Taye Diggs' face falls off, I thought it was a pretty awesomely ridiculous movie, but it is kind of boring to rewatch.
Jeffrey Lewis
That's awesome that you guys mentioned Jeffrey Lewis. He also does "The Chelsea Hotel Oral Sex Song" - although I think he deliberately avoids actually naming the Leonard Cohen song there.
90 GRANDCHILDREN?!
That seems excessive.
All in the Family
Shout! is releasing All in the Family, now? Are they doing anything more (extras-wise) than Sony did?
Reading the Q&As definitely gives me an idea of which writers whose taste I trust, and which ones I'm more likely to ignore/dismiss (as if I hadn't already figured it out). Yeah, The Prestige is awesome. So is the science fiction hooey in LOST. On the other hand, there is nothing enjoyable about The Sixth Sense…
I figured out what was going on in The Sixth Sense really early, and it never even occurred to me that it was some sort of twist. It seemed really obvious. And with that movie in particular, it seemed as if the twist was a deliberate way to avoid dealing with most of the stuff the movie had brought up. Haley Joel…
I generally like all these actresses, but I cannot bring myself to see this movie. They've all done horror movies before. If someone made a horror movie with this cast, I would be totally be there.
I love these shows
And this is an awesome article.
Afterschool
It's a pretty awesome movie.
I got to see Tabloid last night. The entire movie is almost exclusively interview footage, but she's a very entertaining subject. I enjoyed it.
Weird Foods
When I was a teenager, I used to put Yoo-Hoo on my cereal instead of milk, because I didn't have to worry about Yoo-Hoo going bad as quickly.
It's great. Definitely worth seeing.
