"They're kind of going overboard with the "shits" on this show,"

The thing is, they can't even go down the path of making Rachel a lawyer because that'd take her out of commission for three years (since she'd have to move to Boston for law school).

I don't get the reasoning for tying this into real-life events.  Maybe Sorkin's been emboldened after Social Network and Charlie Wilson, or maybe he just wants to avoid all of the nitpicking jabs at his scripts that came up every week on West Wing, but… it just seems like such a batshit crazy idea.  Does anyone want

Or worse - remember the Top Gear episode when they filled an engine full of foam to make a car float, and the ensuing toxic smoke made it seem like the car was being driven by "the Jamaican Olympic Dope-smoking team"?

This was the weakest of the season finales, but the strongest season overall to date.  Can't help but think that was largely due to refocusing the show around SCDP and largely shunting Betty into the background.

It's noticeable even when compared to the earlier Castle stuff (which I
tend to re-watch to remind me of when the show was actually quite
good). I know they aged up Stana Katic's look to make her a bit more
relateable to the older females that dominate the audience (longer haircut,
less fashionable clothes, etc.),

Ye gods, you look at a picture like the one at the top of the review and have to assume that Filion's basically been living at craft services ever since he started with Castle.
