Tom Cullen was in Weekend?

Tom Cullen was in Weekend?

"The End of Violence" will be next?  I'm guessing that's a typo because…

Not to be nit-picky (but I'm totally going to be), but the restaurant that Judge Reinhold works at in Fast Times is not in the mall.

I've always felt like the differences between Ben and Justin's journey is actually part of the story, rather than wheel-spinning, as it were.  It seems to me that there is a statement being made there:  whereas Justin is able to ascend to his position of "evil" rather easily, Ben is constantly struggling and running

I really don't understand why MP3s and iPods are supposed to be counterconducive to listening to whole albums.  Does everyone else in the world have their iPod on permanent shuffle?  Am I totally weird because I select entire albums to play off of mine?

"Tommy from Slayer"

"Tommy from Slayer"

Oingo Boingo Farewell, Halloween 1995 at the Universal Ampitheater.  Four goddamn hours long and still, to this day, the best show I've ever seen.  I got a bloody lip in the pit (yes, there was a pit, and yes, it was crazy) during "Who Do You Want to Be Today" and it was awesome.

I don't know.  At this point, 'fucking with the reader's expectations' in regards to this series doesn't really mean what it used to.  My expectation is that every character you have any affection for will be brutally killed while characters you absolutely hate will have some absurd deus ex machina that saves them at

You know, on one hand, it's horrible that all this happened.  On the other, though, if she hadn't pulled this shit, I never would've gotten to see Leonard Cohen live, which was hands-down the most amazing concert experience I've ever had.  In that light, I kind of want to send her some flowers to brighten up that jail

I get the point, but it really should be more "Ted as JD", which totally extends into the real world as well.  Josh Radnor even made his very own Garden State recently.

Great article.  Every time people (almost always dudes) go off about how destructive Twilight is because those poor girls are apparently incapable of any kind of analytic thought and must be protected from the books lest they form their entire lives around them, I remember what it was like being a kid and getting told

Last month gave me Atlas Moth (just in time for their LA show too) and Rwake.  This month has given me Wolvhammer.  God, I love this column.

I don't usually care about stuff like this, but a spoiler alert for the bit about the son would've been nice.

Yeah, I witnessed two passing-outs at the Guts reading I went to in LA.  I will admit to feeling rather queasy myself.  The "reading aloud" version was way more graphic than the version that was eventually published (though I'm willing to admit my memory may be making that up and it just wasn't as gross the second

Am I really going to be the first person to point out that you can't accuse a guy that spent an inordinate amount of time making out with Vincent D'Onofrio in The Velocity of Gary homophobic?
