"I've been worrying about Jon for years. He always comes back."
Yeah, I like to think that Jacob's will was aided by the Island… but that's one of those things that can be argued every which way. I also think "Dave" was Libby's husband who died, causing her to get committed to Santa Rosa while Hurley was there. Hurley could see Ghost Dave back then. On the Island, MIB took on…
I think Hurley was manipulated by the Island itself, starting with the first time he was exposed to the numbers. That started him on his path. I don't think that was Jacob's doing, as he would want Hurley to choose for himself, but that was only Jacob's requirement, his only rule for the "game".
I think the requirement to bring Locke's body back was all part of MIB's plan. Eloise Hawking was also convinced of that. I think Ghost Charlie was aware enough that it would be bad for Locke's body to be brought back because it would allow the rest of the candidates to be easily manipulated into doing something that…

I hope they add Gunt and Mrs. Potato Dick to the lineup

Hurley also told Jack that Ghost Charlie told him "You're not supposed to raise him", another misdirection we're supposed to think refers to Aaron. Both statements actually…
That's where the theme of free will comes in again. Jacob was pretty much forced to become leader of the island by the Mother, and he later found out how much she lied to him. So his "game" was to find someone who wanted to take over the island from him, someone he could trust. But that someone had to do it on their…
MiB becoming Locke did remind me of Bob becoming Cooper.
I read later on that the volcano at least explains how Dharma got electricity, by using geothermal energy.
Enough of a moment to pay for college (and maybe grad/law school) up front.

alt.tv.late-night-wars was bustling with activity back then
This is one show I wouldn't mind Showtime renewing for 10 unnecessary seasons.
Will Paul Junger-Witt please come out of retirement and clown this embarrassment known as the Miller-Boyett tv empire?
Looking for Dick Assman in that album.
