I'm kinda surprised no one else mentioned this one but the use of Tears for Fears "Mad World" in Donnie Darko always gets to me(though it may just be my (not entirely)irrational love for Tears for Fears).

Also, in my rush to make that joke i left out that my absolute favorite album of the year, Broken Bells, was an omission as well. Danger Mouse + James Mercer = AWESOMENESS

Overall, I was pretty damn satisfied with the AV Club's list. But this is the omissions post, so i'll throw my votes behind Beach House, Surfer Blood, Hot Chip, The Radio Dept., and Bonobo. Also, no one has mentioned Pigeons by Here We Go Magic yet, one of my favorites this year.
