"…..And THAT, kids, is how i met your mother."

Sorry, but couldn't they have worked the word "hurricane" in there somewhere?  I see "sandy relief" and I just keep thinking about how much better you feel after finally taking off your swim trunks following a long day at the beach.

Along those lines, I oftentimes use the phonetic alphabet at work for reading back serial numbers over the phone.  Of course, most customers don't know the phonetic alphabet, and make up their own, which has resulted in wonderful moments of confusion on my part.  I have had customers say all of the following:

News of the World is, to me, a terrific double EP with a massive single tacked on the beginning.  I always start at track 3.

I thought Goldeneye was….it felt like a generic Bond picture.  "We'll write it, and then we'll worry about who to cast" sort of thing, whereas most of the other films to that point had a definite tone based on who was playing Bond.  Other than that, it was a solid picture…it just felt a little hollow.

Really?  I think we're missing a couple of classics here:
"Politician" by Cream
"Politicians In My Eyes" by Death (the early-70s Detroit protopunk band)

Still haven't gotten through it, but I've (so far) found the Joe Strummer bio "Redemption Song" to be pretty damn insightful.

Hey, shut up.  If there's hope for this, then maybe there's still hope for a third season of Phil of the Future.

Ok, but I'm not sure how much fun it'll be watching Cory and Shawn oil wrestle while Topanga and Rachel bitch about how nobody's paying attention to them.
