"This 'Pecker is a about to get a whole lot Woody-er".

I don't know if it was all part of the same syndication package or what (I watched it primarily as part of the Cowboy Bob show as a little kid, which I'm pretty sure was just an Indiana thing), but I mostly suffered through Woody Woodpecker to get to Droopy Dog, Chilly Willy, and Heckel and Jeckel.

Yes, I did- thank you.  Comment will soon be edited.

I'm seriously starting to worry about Illumination; they surprised the hell out of me with how good Despicable Me was, but it feels like they're immediately saying "Great….now lets make a shit-ton of money."  A quick look at Wikipedia reminds me that they also did Hop (which a friend of mine, who I trust where movies

Oh, good….so THIS is what Prime Suspect got cancelled for.  Thanks, NBC.  How about a little courtesy lick first next time.

Automatically read that last bit in Graham Chapman's voice.

Only if it's a big-screen adaptation of MTV's Daria as a crossover with Ice Cube's franchise.

You call it "$1.50"- I call it "Free bottle of Mountain Dew: Voltage".

Shit….you know?  You're right.  I always forget just how fucking loud the album is- when I think "Vapor Trails", the first thing that immediately pops into my head is the drum intro to "One Little Victory", followed by that awesome guitar line….my brain never quite carries the song forward enough to where the drums

Bah….wtf is NBC thinking?  I mean, they're already in last place.  Now they're (more or less) cutting the shows that could grow a huge audience for them?  Community, Prime Suspect…..the only bright spot in the Community news was "Hey…we're taking this thing that you love, but we're giving you back this other thing

I fucking love this show.  "By-the-numbers crime procedural?"  Absolutely!  It didn't try to be quirky or gimmicky in any way- the biggest gimmick was "Hey- hot lady sometimes wears a hat."  It was just a straight-ahead, old-school cop show, made in a time when everybody thinks apparently detectives don't solve

Seriously, as much as I love Community, if NBC had the balls to give a full-season pick-up to Heil Honey I'm Home, I would watch the shit out of that.

Not technically, but the update said that all episodes will air…which means they'll be burned off over the summer, and it will come as a shock to nobody that this show that had it's remaining eps burned off over the summer doesn't get a renewal nod at the up-fronts.

I read the whole run in the week leading up to the film's release; I love the movie, but it almost seems like a different beast, lacking some of the subtlety (if that word can be used where Scott Pilgrim is concerned) of the books.

You know you can just start on side 2?

Wanted to go to that show.  I was so pissed that they did God-knows how many shows in Ohio this past tour, and never once stopped in Noblesville, IN (a whopping half-hour away from me), which they've hit on every single tour since at least the mid-80s, I believe.

But you can't neglect the greatness of Scars, The Pass, or War Paint, either.

Not at all imagining it; I can't remember where I read it, but it seems like it was initially just titled "Anagram", but Lee or Lifeson owned up to the fact that in the studio, they all just kept saying "Anagram for Mongo", and it stuck.  (I do remember that in this interview, they were asked if there was any relation

Vapor Trails took me a while to get into, but once I got into it, it became one of my favorites.  Snakes & Arrows still gets a listen once in a while, but not nearly as often as, say, Permanent Waves.

RTB is only hideous in its absolutely-atrocious production.  Man…fuck Rupert Hine for figuring out a way to suck all the low-end out of the bass.  (Same for Presto.)
