excellent effort
the loss of mr braxton is not noticed with this release. these are great tunes. insane beats. given the simplicity of their (apparent) set-up, they sure manage some really complicated stuff. if they don't get a (minor) hit out of "ice-cream" then there's no justice in this world.

your 12 yr old memories of hyams' 2010 were wrong
hyams was and probably still is one of the worst hacks ever. 2010 was an abortion of a film. not helped by the money-grubbing hackery of a.c.clarke, who wrote this misbegotten sequel (and a further ridiculous further episode). trash.

would like a listen …
too bad you can no longer link to lala for a full-scale listen of the albums. when will someone else come along with a similar business model? being able to listen to an entire album or at least entire tracks gives me more confidence that i'll like it before i cough up for it. after all, your a+

given the presence of the logical vulcan, it's always amusing just how illogical trek movies & the teevee series before them are/were. this one is no exception. although it does get the adrenalin going, the ridiculous plot holes & the magical escape points are just depressing. good sci-fi is very

… & as such is actually a very successful effort.
