Brubaker (and/or Rucka) was my top pick for both Rorschach and Comedian, as well. What coulda been.

I think it's very odd that people think that. We have this bizarre need to venerate the dead. The guy was an actor, and he died. You could make fun of him last week but not now? Suddenly he's a saint? Suddenly he didn't have sex with that gawky ugly blonde retard? I don't get it.
Have we so soon forgotten "cunt punt"??
Crazy Eyes is great but the actress who plays Poussey (the shaven-head one) should get, like, a hundred Emmys.
I don't think he's portrayed as loathsome, either. Misguided and thoughtless (especially when it came to the radio interview), but not loathsome. I would have tearfully broken up with Piper at about the point he did. We all do things we know aren't noble and good, but that need to be done for our own sanity.
Rucka is a hard act to follow. And Chiang is pulling most of the weight here I think.
You're objectively retarded. ZING! Now THAT'S comedy gold.
It's not that we're outraged that this is a real person who thinks these things. It's that we're outraged that this unfunny boring unoriginal character is stupid and should not be allowed to do interviews of any kind ever again.
Agreed.
I usually hate it when people hate on Hatesong, but this is a really bad example of what I read this feature for. This guy is just doing his extremely tired unoriginal schtick ("I'm all man, ask any babe," — OH, the hilarity!). I'd rather hear what someone actually thinks of a song.
Because hearing the title will make the tune stick in his head, and he's the kind of person who can't get read of earworms very easily. That seems extremely obvious to me.
Lately I'm thinking I've gotta get some more step time on the elliptical and bust the cardio, because I've been absolutely shredding the free weights, man, just killing them. And I don't want to get all lopsided, you know? Gotta blast the core and calf triceps.
Very much agreed. I remember watching this with friends and some saying that Yoakam's character was unbelievable, a cartoonishly evil monster. I wondered what kind of fairy tale world they thought they were living in. Yoakam's character is all too believable, and Yoakam makes him seem halfway human beneath his bad…
Can't believe JT Walsh died in 1998. I remember actors paying tribute to him afterward. Didn't think it was that far back. Jesus, I'm gettin' old.
Why do they call them "truthers"? Seems like a much more apt epithet is "falsifiers."
It is in trade form and sits on my shelf. It's really very good.
I thought the following non fiction books were pretty powerful:
I get it.
That would be awesome.
I agree with everything you've written here, but frankly, the picture above looks like Dave Foley playing an out and fabulous gay guy.
