I also thought that the Brody/Lapkus/Wengert episode of Comedy Bang Bang was actually pretty strong.  I was surprised to find it among "the rest."  I also think that I just find Lauren Lapkus to be inherently funny, so whether or not her character "goes anywhere" is immaterial.  She makes me laugh.

The podcasting community's all-out war against the Post Office continues…

Yeah, one of my primary take-aways from article is that it seems as if Paul F. Tompkins is clearly modern America's greatest celebrity-encounter raconteur.  Seems fair enough to me.

The video of Paul F. Tompkins staring into the camera during the "Would You Rather" theme-song is among my favorite things ever.

Well, to be fair, Mohr Stories is a terrible show.  Much like The Adam Carolla Show.

Yes, I want to like his podcast, but I just can't.

I agree with you completely.  Given Sanz's stature in the improv community, that really was a bizarre comment to make.  Sure, comedic tastes may vary, but some things are not matters of opinion.  Water is wet, fire is hot, and Horatio Sanz is a respected pillar of American improv comedy.

Oh, I think I have to shampoo my hair that day.

OK, that's just weird.

I think that you make an excellent point about Hardwick's tendency to equate referencing something semi-obscure with making an actual joke of some kind.  References, in and of themselves, are not inherently humorous.  I'm not so sure that Hardwick has a firm grasp on that.

Yeah, I wonder whether or not Chris Hardwick ever listened to the WTF interview with Mel Brooks.  I'm guessing not (he is, after all, an extremely busy guy), because if he did, I don't see how he would ever think it's a good idea to include his own interview with Brooks in this "Best Of" list.  There's simply no

Yeah, it seems like Chris Hardwich could be an EVEN MORE effective time manager if he simply assigned the technology wing of "Nerdist Industries" to develop a robotic persona to emulate his podcast-hosting presence so that he wouldn't even need to be there to record episodes.  I'll bet they could re-produce 90% of his

It's strange, if you only read the text if this review and ignore the letter grade, one could come away with the impression that the movie is flawed in some significant ways, but still fairly solid in many regards with a few admirable qualities.  Thus, the "C-" grade comes across as a little harsh.  I would have

Yeah, a couple of years ago when the late, great Daves of Thunder podcast was unceremoniously "cancelled" from the Carolla Digital podcast network due to contract issues and network employees meddling with how the show was being produced, there was a lot of grumbling about the evils of podcasting "networks."  Dave

I'm sure that he has more of a point than I realize (being a complete outsider to the podcasting "industry"), but I'm a little bit skeptical of some of Dustin Marshall's comments that seem to portray Earwolf as some sort of burgeoning Evil Empire like the Disney Corporation or the entertainment division of General

Well, this is certainly disappointing news.

I agree.  I feel like Lauren Lapkus has been a real revelation on Comedy Bang Bang and Improv4Humans over the last year.  She is very talented.

Driving well-worn material into the ground has long been a staple of the Adam Carolla Show.

I agree.  Lennon's level of commitment to the character she is portraying in an improv scene is really something to behold.  She's also funny in a way that seems singularly unique to her, which is not an easy thing to accomplish.

But, I presume you're referring to something that happened many years ago?  If not, we may be edging into vile rumor-mongering territory.
