I always found it amusing how the Harvard grads were going to tell all us plebian working class people how "hard" and "militant" and "revolutionary" they were…. That entire schtick was pure old fashioned "mommy and daddy didn't give me enough attention wahhhhhhhhh….."

Goldfinger is one of the best films ever made. Top 100 IMO. (though I have a soft spot for Thunderball as it was the first Bond I ever saw)

Aside from Do The Right Thing, I tend to think Spike lee gets a little heavy handed with trying to make a racial message.   I've always thought of him like Oliver Stone,  both can make great movies, but both can also make you feel like yer getting preached at by a 14 yr old straight edge kid….

I agree with you both, one of those happy events where you stumble across a movie coming on TCM and are astounded with how good it is.  Maybe my 2nd favorite Kerr performance (after Black Narcissus).  but it might really be her best……  atmosphere,  something more modern directors could learn how to use.
